On the Road: Neuroplaces 2026 – What an Experience
This time last week, we were about to attend what we thought would be a fantastic three-day event in Shoreditch. What we hadn't anticipated was quite how remarkable those three days would turn out to be.
More than we took with us
We went to Neuroplaces to showcase Simple Acoustics, introduce people to our Simple Safe Spaces, and talk about the importance of acoustics in creating genuinely inclusive environments. We came home with a great deal more than we took with us: new connections, new friendships, new ideas, new questions, and some genuinely exciting opportunities that are already beginning to develop.
But more than anything, we came away inspired.
It was about people
For Greg and Helen, Neuroplaces became about so much more than exhibiting our products. It was about the conversations, the shared experiences, and the moments when somebody immediately understood why we do what we do. Conversations that might have started with acoustics quickly became discussions about inclusion, neurodiversity, education, workplaces, design, sustainability, regulation, and the environments we create around people.

We met far too many wonderful, inspiring and like-minded people to mention individually. So to everyone who stopped to talk to us, listened to our story, stepped inside our Simple Safe Space pod, shared their own experiences, challenged our thinking, introduced us to somebody else, or simply said “we need to continue this conversation…”, thank you. 💜
The conversations are continuing
Diaries are being opened. Meetings are being arranged. Visits are being discussed. Ideas are being shared. New collaborations are being explored. Some genuinely exciting opportunities are already beginning to emerge, opportunities we simply couldn't have imagined when we arrived in Shoreditch last Tuesday morning.
Perhaps what excited us most was discovering just how many people share a belief that sits at the very heart of what we do: that inclusion means looking at the environment itself, not just asking people to cope better within it. Bring together people with different expertise, experiences and perspectives, start asking “what could we do differently?”, and some very exciting conversations begin.
We left Neuroplaces with new connections, new possibilities, and an even greater determination to keep listening, learning and working alongside the people who experience these environments every day.
So, what's next?
Quite a lot, it seems. Simple Acoustics will soon be On the Road again:
- Wooden Spoon VetsFest, Tynedale Rugby Club — this Saturday, supporting a charity that transforms the lives of children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage through the power of rugby.
- Tes SEND Show, London — 9–10 October 2026.
New places. New people. New conversations. New opportunities — and who knows where they might lead? That's becoming one of our favourite things about being On the Road.
