This Time Next Week: Simple Acoustics at Neuroplaces 2026
This time next week, we'll be at Protein Studios in Shoreditch for three days of Neuroplaces – and we're genuinely so excited to be part of the conversation.
Why Neuroplaces matters to us
Neuroplaces was created to help move neuroinclusion beyond conversation and good intentions into practical, evidence-informed change; bringing together lived experience, expertise, design and innovation to explore how the places around us can work better for different minds, bodies and sensory needs.
That's a conversation we absolutely want to be part of.
“Sometimes we need to stop looking solely at how we can help an individual cope within an environment, and start looking at what we can change about the environment itself.”
What we mean by environment, not individual
Noise. Reverberation. Sensory load. Speech intelligibility. Access to quieter spaces.
They can all affect how we experience a place, and whether we're able to communicate, concentrate, regulate, participate and ultimately feel that we belong there.
That's why Greg and Helen are so looking forward to meeting people at Neuroplaces: listening to different perspectives, learning from lived experience, and sharing some of the work we've been doing around acoustics, inclusive environments and our Simple Safe Spaces.
Most importantly, we want to be part of the wider conversation about what genuinely neuroinclusive environments can, and should, look and feel like.
